I was at school with Sarah. She was the impulsive sparkly one and I was the worrier -always working hard and anxious before exams. We did art A - Level together. I remember when we got the practical paper with the choice of flowers that we could choose from to draw. I agonised for days - watching the laburnum all flower and shrivel too quickly before our exam date and not quite sure if a rose would do... The day of the exam we walked into Altrincham for lunch before the exam that afternoon. Sarah hadn't really given much thought to what she was going to do, but just leaned over a garden wall and grabbed the nearest flower on the way past!! AND her drawing was brilliant!
